The Bamboo Room

Enjoy the historic décor of the Bamboo Room. This is the only room in Belhurst Castle still furnished with original pieces from its early days as a residence in 1889. The Bamboo Room is, exactly as you would expect, made almost entirely of bamboo. The ornate bamboo bed frame is a double bed, beautifully complimented by a mirrored bamboo dresser. A very spacious bathroom features a double vanity surrounded by carved wainscoting, white marble subway tiles throughout and a large walk-in shower.

The Dwyer Suite

The Dwyer Suite is the next largest and most popular rooms of Belhurst Castle. The infamous owner, Cornelius J. "Red" Dwyer made this his master bedroom. Red owned the castle during the prohibition era. The Dwyer Suite is beautifully appointed with hand-carved cherry oak trim throughout and a magnificent marble fireplace with intricately carved miniature cherry Romanesque columns above. The Dwyer Suite features a four- poster Queen bed, a full-size pullout sofa bed and a walk-in shower. The jeweled stain glass windows and a full lake view bring you back to a time long ago.


Fireplaces are turned on seasonally.

The Clay Room

Walk into a quaint Victorian-style room with carved wood trim, a Queen bed, and newly renovated bathroom, complete with a walk-in shower. A small seating nook with a large chair and transom windows is the perfect place to read your morning paper. This room is named after Henry Clay, the famous former senator that helped determine the state lines.


The Clay Room is located on the second floor of the Castle. There is no elevator service in the Chambers in the Castle.

The Butler Room

True to its namesake, the Butler Room belonged to the Head Butler when the Castle was a residence in 1889. The room features beautiful cherry wood trim throughout the cozy sitting room and separate bedroom, and there is a television in each. A four-poster Queen bed graces the bedroom and the loveseat in the sitting room is a pullout sofa bed. The bathroom is newly renovated with a walk-in shower that offers a little more space than most of the other rooms in the Castle.


The Butler Room is located on the second floor of the Castle. There is no elevator service in the Chambers in the Castle.

The Garrett Room

The Study

The Tower Suite

Considered our premier suite, the Tower Suite is named after the iconic symbol of Belhurst Castle, the tower. Our largest room, the Tower Suite has 20-foot high-beamed ceiling and intricately hand-carved oak trim molding throughout. Popular for brides and grooms preparing for weddings and is often used as a honeymoon suite, this suite features a grand four-poster King bed, separate sitting area with sofa bed, second television, seating nook and balcony. This room has a very spacious full bath with soaking tub and walk-in stone shower. The staircase leads up the tower to where the original residents of Belhurst Castle would often take their tea and watch the sunrise.


The Tower Suite is located on the third floor of the Castle. There is no elevator service in the Chambers in the Castle

The Billiard Room

This room is home to a gorgeous Victorian Burled Walnut King bed. The craftsmanship is echoed in the matching dresser with grand mirror, grey marble topped nightstands, and 18-foot high ceiling. The bathroom features a walk-in shower. Head up the small staircase to the red limestone balcony for a breathtaking view of the Belhurst Castle property and Seneca Lake.

The Carriage House

A freestanding cottage located 100 yards from the front entrance of the Belhurst Castle. This quaint little brick cottage was originally where the carriage was kept in 1889. This accommodation features a queen size bed, two chairs in the sitting area and small full bath.

The Ice House

A freestanding cottage located 100 yards from the front entrance of Belhurst Castle. This quaint little brick cottage was originally where the ice was stored when it was a residence in 1889. This cottage features a lofted Queen size bed accessible via a spiral staircase, twin size pullout and a small full bath, perfect for two to three people. The Ice House does not have a working kitchen.
